12/20/2009 teaching powerpoint ~ Luke 2: The real big guns

So often, we think that it is the powerful people of the world who have the ability to commit greatness in the Cause of Christ, but we are woefully wrong.  God’s pattern is to use little folk in the outworking of his plan.  The “big guns” really don’t get a whole lot done.

    12/13/2009 teaching powerpoint ~ Isaiah 9:1-7

12/06/2007 teaching powerpoint ~ You have been made able

    11/29/2009 teaching powerpoint ~ Ephesians 6: 19-24

    11/22/2009 teaching powerpoint ~ Ephesians 6: 10-20

We are already in the battle,  gear up!  The real struggle is against a background system that seeks to dominate you and everyone around you, desiring your destruction.

    11/15/2009 teaching powerpoint ~ Ephesians 6:5-9

Paul continues teaching on the application of “submission” from verse 5:21.  How does this apply to work relationships.  (Master/slave relations were a way of life in Rome, in some ways similiar to boss/worker relationships today.)  This session also includes a tangent about who sets the “vision” for the Church.  Write to rev.steve@juno.com with any questions or comments!

    11/8/2009 teaching ~hupotasso

Not all of the slides can be understood well without the teaching being heard.  For example, there are a few slides that note that “submit” is not repeated in the original Greek in 5:22 and only occurs once in verse 24.  The translators supplied the extra verbs in order to fulfill the requirements of English grammer, but the addition of the words changes the nuance of the text of verse 21.
